I picked one today.
It was good, for dinner. I made a “mess”...sauteed it in olive oil along with onion, collard greens, ruby chard (volunteer), tomato (still producing)…served with white rice & garnished with toasted pine nuts, capers, fresh herbs (what I had…basil, parsley & garlic chives), more olive oil & parmigiano.
You could do worse for an “Indian Summer” (or whatever you call this almost November, spectacular, warm weather) supper.
Dessert…a few squares of dark chocolate with the rest of the red wine.
